Tiradentes

Before long we arrived in sleepy Tiradentes, named after the hero of Brazil's independence movement. Framed by the mountain range, this serene town is a bed-and-breakfast community with quaint hotels and picturesque pousadas enticing visitors to stay.

Protected by the São José mountain range, Tiradentes seems to remain at the barrier of colonial time. The clock does not move here, the sleepy town immune to the angry buzz of the modern world.
